WebsterB type Vickers hardness testerDetailed product description:

Webster type B Vickers hardness tester
Webster B-type Vickers hardness tester is produced in the United States and is used to test the hardness of aluminum alloy materials. Can test aluminum plates, aluminum tubes, and aluminum profiles. The testing process is non-destructive to the workpiece and does not require sampling, making it suitable for rapid qualification inspection of products at production, sales, or construction sites. The Vickers hardness tester was introduced to China in the early 1980s along with aluminum profile production lines. This hardness tester has been used in China for nearly 20 years, and its measurement results have been widely recognized in various aspects.
Purpose
Webster B-type Vickers hardness tester can be used as a general quality inspection instrument on the production site or as a measuring reference instrument within the factory.
For units that already have multiple domestically produced instruments, if they prepare another imported hardness tester in the quality inspection department and store it in a good environment without using it on site, they can arrange for a dedicated person to keep it safe and maintain its testing accuracy for a long time. It can be used to regularly compare and inspect other hardness testers frequently used on the production site, in order to promptly detect any misalignment of the on-site instruments, ensure the integrity and accuracy of these instruments, and avoid unqualified products from leaving the factory.
Although Webster B-type Vickers hardness tester is expensive, it is an important supplement to domestic instruments.
standard
In 1978, the American standard ASTM B647 "Vickers Hardness Test Method for Aluminum Alloys" was developed based on Webster B-type instruments. This standard was re recognized in 1998, making the use of instruments more standardized and its measurement results more widely recognized.
In 1999, based on Webster B and domestically produced W-20 instruments, China formulated the national metrological verification regulation JJG944 "Metallic Vickers Hardness Tester". It specifies the methods for metrological verification of newly manufactured, in use, and repaired Vickers hardness testers, as well as the verification methods for standard Vickers hardness blocks used for calibrating Vickers hardness testers.
In 2000, the Chinese non-ferrous metal standard YS/T420 "Vickers Hardness Test Method for Aluminum Alloys" was developed with reference to the American standard ASTM B647. At present, the use of Vickers hardness testers should be carried out in accordance with this standard, which confirms that the instruments that can be used are the B-type produced in the United States and the W-20 type produced in China.
