To absorb the operating overvoltage during switch opening and closing, as well as the indoor intrusion lightning impulse overvoltage, in order to reduce the wavefront steepness and peak value of the overvoltage, and protect the insulation of electrical equipment such as generators, motors, transformers, and switches from steep wave front impact.
