The BP1 series frequency sensitive variable resistor (hereinafter referred to as the variable resistor) is suitable for use with three-phase AC wound asynchronous motors with a capacity of 22kW, 50Hz as light loads or occasionally used for heavy and light loads (such as water pumps, air compressors, steel mills, air compressors, etc.), or for repeated short-term work cycles (such as bridge cranes, lifting platforms, mining conveyors, etc. with a capacity of 2.2kW to 125kW).
Environmental conditions for use
Varistors can reliably operate under the following conditions:
1. Altitude not exceeding 4000m;
2. The temperature of the surrounding medium shall not be higher than+40 ℃ and not lower than -30 ℃;
3. The relative humidity of the air shall not exceed 85% [(20 ± 5) ℃];
4. In a medium without explosive hazards, and without gases or dust that can corrode metals and damage insulation in the medium
5. Places that are protected from rain and snow, but not filled with water vapor;
6. Places that allow for general vibrations and impacts;
7. At any angle from the vertical plane.
structural characteristics
A rheostat is a non-contact electromagnetic component that is equivalent to an equivalent impedance. During the starting process of the electric motor, the equivalent impedance automatically decreases with the decrease of high-frequency components in the rotor starting current to achieve automatic resistance change. Therefore, only a first stage variable resistor is needed to start the electric motor smoothly.
A variable resistor is essentially a three-phase reactor with a very high iron core loss. It consists of two main parts: an iron core and a coil, which are made up of several E-shaped steel plates stacked together. Steel plates are clamped with washers to maintain the distance between them for heat dissipation. The structure and installation dimensions are shown in Figure 1 and Table 1.
