1、 Purpose:
The SYD-0168 petroleum product colorimeter is suitable for measuring the color of various lubricating oils and other petroleum products according to the national petrochemical industry standard SH/T0168-92 "Petroleum Product Colorimetry Method". The measurement method involves injecting the petroleum product sample to be measured into a colorimetric tube and comparing it with a standard color chart to determine its chromaticity color number. The color code represented by this instrument is equivalent to the color code in GB/T6540, as shown in the attached color code comparison chart.

2、 Instrument structure and main performance
This instrument consists of a standard color palette, an observation optical lens, a light source, and a colorimetric tube.
The light source uses a 220V, 2750 ± 50K internally frosted milk shell bulb as the emitting light source. After passing through a milky white glass plate and a daylight filtering glass plate, the spectral characteristics of this light source are similar to this light. After being filtered, the instrument light source forms two parallel beams of identical size and shape, which can simultaneously and uniformly illuminate the color glass plate of the standard color plate and the sample of the colorimetric tube.
There are 26 Φ 14mm light holes on the standard color plate, of which 25 are sequentially equipped with standard color glass sheets of 1-25 color numbers. The 26th hole is blank, and the color plate is mounted on the right side of the instrument by rotating the handwheel to select the correct equivalent color during colorimetric testing. The standard color glass color on the color palette should be calibrated using a colorimetric solution as the calibration standard color.
The colorimetric tube is a colorless flat bottomed glass tube with an inner diameter of 32 millimeters and a height of 120-130 millimeters. The colorimetric tube is placed in the small cover position on the top of the instrument.
The observation eyepiece consists of a concave mirror and a dividing grid. Two semi-circular colors can be seen simultaneously in the eyepiece, with the color on the left being the sample color. The one on the right is the standard color, and the optical eyepiece has the ability to adjust light and focus, making it easy to use.
