GW4-40.5D (W) type outdoor high current high voltage isolation switch is an outdoor high voltage electrical equipment with a frequency of 50HZ, rated currents of 1600A, 2000A, 2500A, 4000A, used for switching high voltage lines under voltage and no-load conditions, as well as for electrically isolating high voltage busbars, circuit breakers and other electrical equipment under maintenance from live high voltage lines. It can also be used to separate and combine very small capacitor currents and inductor currents.
GW4-35GW (D)/1600A-4000A high current isolation switch operating environmental conditions
1. Altitude not exceeding 1000m;
2. Environmental temperature: upper limit+40 ℃, lower limit -40 ℃;
3. Wind speed not exceeding 40.5m/s;

The main technical parameters of GW4-35GW (D)/1600A-4000A high current isolation switch are shown in Table 1
Each pole is composed of three independent monopoles, each consisting of a base, insulating pillars, and conductive parts.
Each pole has two insulation pillars fixed on the bushings at both ends of the base, connected by connecting rods. Each insulation pillar can rotate horizontally at a 90 ° angle, and is equipped with a conductive terminal block and left and right contacts (Figure 4b). The left and right contacts are in contact between the two insulation pillars through a conductive tube.
1. Structure of grounding switch
The static contact of the grounding switch is fixed on the conductive pipe of the isolation switch, and the moving contact is installed at the end of the grounding switch steel pipe on the base.
2. Mechanical interlocking of isolation switch and grounding switch
The mechanical interlocking between the isolating switch and the grounding switch is achieved through the interlocking panel on the CS8-6D manual mechanism.
