The GW5 series outdoor AC isolation switch is an outdoor high-voltage electrical equipment with an AC frequency of 52Hz, with rated voltage levels of 40.5kV, 72.5kV, and 126kV. It is used for opening and closing high-voltage lines under no-load conditions, as well as for electrically isolating high-voltage busbars, circuit breakers, and other electrical equipment under maintenance from live high-voltage circuits. It can also be used for opening and closing small capacitor or inductor currents.

GW5-40.5D (W)/630 outdoor AC high voltage isolation switch meets the relevant provisions of GB1985 "AC High Voltage Isolation Switches and Grounding Switches", IEC60129 "AC Isolation Switches and Grounding Switches", and GB/T11022 "Common Technical Requirements for High Voltage Switchgear and Control Equipment Standards".
