The BP6 series frequency sensitive variable resistor is suitable for three-phase AC wound asynchronous motors with a frequency of 30Hz. Used for starting heavy loads. The frequency sensitive variable resistor is designed as a four tube structure, consisting of two parts: the iron core and the winding. The iron core has two rings per phase, with aluminum rings on the outermost and second layers, iron rings on the~th and innermost layers, and thick steel plates on the surface. The four tube structure is based on the BP4 series and is equipped with inner aluminum rings and inner iron rings. At the beginning of the motor start-up, due to the skin effect of the current, the magnetic flux is concentrated on the outer iron ring. As the motor speed increases, the slip rate gradually decreases, the skin effect weakens, and the magnetic flux gradually enters the inner iron ring, increasing the induced electromotive force in the inner aluminum ring. Its effect is equivalent to paralleling a resistor with gradually decreasing resistance on the outer aluminum ring. When the parameters are appropriate, the equivalent resistance of the inner and outer aluminum rings is proportional to the square root of the slip rate, and the variable resistance ability can be greatly improved. Therefore, the mechanical characteristics of this four tube frequency sensitive variable resistor are superior to the BP1, BP2, BP4 and other series.

3、 Technical performance and data: When the minimum grid voltage during the starting process is not lower than 90% of the rated voltage, the variable resistance can reliably start the motor with rated load for three consecutive times (with a total starting time not exceeding 90 seconds) after adjusting the tap appropriately. The stator impulse current of the motor during starting should not exceed 2.5 times the rated current.
Basic parameters of BP6 series frequency sensitive rheostat:

Pe - rated power of electric motor in kilowatts; E20-- Open circuit voltage of motor rotor in volts The rated current of the motor rotor is A.
4、 Usage and adjustment: When the variable resistor leaves the factory, the wiring is connected to the 85% tap of the coil. If the motor is connected to the variable starter and any of the following situations occur, adjustments can be made according to the following method: 1. The starting current is too high (greater than 2.5 times) and the starting speed is too fast. You can try to increase the number of turns and connect the tap to 100% of the turns. The effect is to reduce the starting current and the starting torque at the same time. 2. When the starting current is too small (less than 2 times) and the starting torque is not enough, and the starting is too slow, try to reduce the number of turns and switch the tap to 71% of the turns. The effect is to increase the starting current and the starting torque at the same time. 3. If the ball mill and other machinery have difficulty restarting after a period of shutdown due to heavy mechanical loads (steel damage and powder agglomeration), the motor can be turned several times to flip the ball mill cylinder a few times before it can start normally
