Structural characteristics of TLB steel ball torque limiter
1. Using patented disc springs with special elastic curves
2. The setting accuracy of slip torque is high, and the repeatability accuracy is high.
3. No backlash torque transmission
4. Connect the flange with ball bearings.
5. Surface heat treatment of sliding components for long service life.
6. Connect the shaft and sleeve with an expansion sleeve to ensure no reverse backlash
7. Can be used in conjunction with other couplings for shaft to shaft connections
Composition principle
The TLB type steel ball torque limiter consists of an outer cover nut, a disc spring, a steel ball, a connecting flange, a retainer, and other components. It can provide cost-effective protection and reliable operation while ensuring the highest utilization rate of machinery and equipment.
When the equipment drives mechanical overload or transmits torque exceeding the set slip torque, the steel ball leaves the groove of the support flange, the torque limiter disengages, causing slippage between the active and driven components. This reduces the transmitted torque to a minimum, and at the same time, the signaling ring produces axial displacement, triggering the limit switch and outputting a signal through the circuit to cut off the power supply of the motor. The equipment stops running and plays a protective role.
After the overload is eliminated, the steel ball rotates one angle in the cage and automatically resets in the next groove. This way, the active and passive ends return to normal connection after rotating one angle with each other, and the equipment begins to rotate.
