JC1168 high-altitude testing pliers are a new product developed to solve the problem of high-altitude detection in power systems and avoid the danger caused by climbing operations. This product is mainly used for substation maintenance in power systems, conducting high-altitude grounding tests on electrical equipment such as contact resistance, circuit resistance, relay protection CT tests, and measuring field transformers.
Usage of high-altitude testing pliers
This product consists of a testing pliers handle (with a short head section) and an extended insulated operating rod. Connect the test pliers handle to each operating rod through threads and tighten them to form an integrated unit. Connect each operating rod according to the instructions on the rod. The operator operates directly on the ground, lifting the installed high-altitude testing pliers (including connecting the testing line, etc.) (the length can be set). Hook the test object with the upper jaw, pull down the operating rod with force to automatically lock the jaw and clamp the test object for testing. On the contrary, a gentle push can release the testing jaws. This tool is easy to use and has precise testing.
Advantages of high-altitude testing pliers products
1. This product can be operated directly on the ground and can be used for high-altitude testing operations up to 3-8m. It has strong practicality and is easy to use.
2. This product adopts the principle of mechanical transmission, which is safer and more reliable than the previous method of pulling with steel wire rope, easier to operate, and saves time and effort. There will be no issues such as jamming, inability to pull, or breakage that may affect on-site operations due to the aging of the steel wire rope.
3. The testing jaws are welded with multiple layers of copper sheets, and the wider and wider jaw design allows for a large current to pass through in a short period of time, with advantages such as good contact and strong overload capacity.
4. The current insulated operating rod is connected by plug-in bolts. In order to prevent the aluminum alloy joints from biting, a stainless steel sleeve is added to make the connection more reliable and safe. The entire operating rod after connection fits better, with smaller gaps and less shaking during testing, making the operation safer.
5. This product can be used for testing in high voltage places below 500KV, with a testing height ranging from 3m to 8m. It can be installed and plugged into any insulated operating rod. The voltage withstand test of the insulated operating rod has passed the high-voltage 500KV/AC test of Shanghai Cable Institute and has obtained the verification report.
