SF-123/SF-123-GF type bimetallic strip drain valve

Bimetallic sheet drain valves are used in steam pipelines and equipment, which can automatically discharge condensed water, air, and other non condensable gases, and prevent water vapor leakage. The basic working principle of a drain valve is to use the weight and temperature difference between steam and water to achieve the purpose of draining water.

Four functions of universal bimetallic drain valves
1. Function of check valve: When the valve ball generates backflow in the pipeline, it can immediately close the discharge hole without the need for additional devices. 2. Discharge condensate water: The condensate water gradually reduces the thermal tension of the bimetallic components, causing the discharge holes to gradually open and the condensate water to be discharged smoothly and unobstructed. 3. Steam blockage: The steam entering the valve chamber causes the bimetallic element to bend, generating thermal tension and overcoming pipeline pressure to close the valve ball. The thermal pulling force varies with the corresponding saturated steam curve. Therefore, it can work effectively within its pressure range. 4. Exhaust air and water: The pressure or gravity of the conveying pipeline causes the valve to open, quickly eliminating air and water and shortening the heating time.
