Purpose:
The FS series valve type lightning arrester is used to protect electrical equipment such as distribution transformers and cable heads from damage caused by atmospheric overvoltage.
It is suitable for:
1. Indoor and outdoor: The usage location has an ambient temperature of -40 ℃ to+40 ℃.
2. The use of high-altitude lightning arresters shall not exceed 1000m, and high-altitude lightning arresters shall be used in areas above 1000m.
3. The maximum power frequency voltage relative to ground at the installation site should not exceed the rated voltage of the lightning arrester.
It is not suitable for places with severe pollution and violent vibrations.
Structure and performance:
The FS series lightning arrester consists of spark gaps and valve plates stacked in a single column within a ceramic sleeve, with rubber seals at both ends of the sleeve. Iron clamps and wiring bolts are provided for installation and wiring.
The FS8 series lightning arrester is a modified product of the FS4 series lightning arrester. Its internal structure and electrical characteristics are the same as those of the FS4 series, but it has the following characteristics:
(1) The product is filled with high-purity dry nitrogen gas inside to prevent ozone generation from corona discharge, thereby ensuring stable product performance.
(2) The upper metal cover has been replaced with a porcelain cover structure, which solves the problem of rust on the upper iron cover.
(3) Using special bolts to sprout wiring from the upper end of the porcelain sleeve, replacing the wiring terminals on the metal of the welder, to avoid the disconnection of the wiring terminals.
(4) The upper end of the porcelain sleeve is sealed with double-layer rubber to ensure reliable sealing performance.
The ceramic sleeve and iron cover of the high-altitude lightning arrester are welded and sealed with metal and ceramic parts, which has excellent sealing performance and can be applied to any altitude area.

The performance of the FS series valve type lightning arrester meets the requirements of the national standard "GB7327-87 Silicon Carbide Valve Type Lightning Arrester for AC Systems", and its main performance is shown in the characteristic table.
