The BWR-04 series transformer winding temperature controller (hereinafter referred to as the winding temperature controller) is a specialized instrument designed for oil immersed power transformers, which uses the "thermal simulation" method to indirectly measure the temperature of the transformer winding.
The temperature T of the transformer winding is the sum of the top oil temperature T2 of the transformer and the temperature rise Δ T of the winding to the oil, i.e. T,=T2+Δ T, determined by the current of the transformer winding. The secondary side current of the current transformer is proportional to the winding current. The working principle of the winding temperature controller is to extract the current proportional to the load through the current transformer, adjust it through the inverter, and input it into the electric heating element inside the elastic element of the winding temperature controller. The heat generated by the electric heating element causes an additional displacement of the elastic element, thereby producing a temperature indication value that is one temperature difference higher than the oil temperature. The winding temperature controller uses this indirect method to obtain the average indicated value of the winding temperature.
