YD-B type water total hardness colorimeterDetailed product description:

The YD-B type water total hardness colorimeter fully embodies the foundation of rapid analysis. Whether using visual colorimetry or titration, reliable results can be obtained quickly. It is like a portable laboratory that can perform routine water quality testing in real time, which can significantly save time and costs.
Test scope: Determination of total calcium and magnesium content in water samples applicable to all concentration ranges of water hardness
Characteristics of YD-B type water total hardness colorimeter:
☆ Measured by visual colorimetry or titration, easy to operate.
It takes 2-10 minutes to complete the analysis of a water sample, which is fast and efficient.
The measurement results are reliable.
All reagents and accessories are built-in and do not require additional preparation.
☆ Low analysis cost.
☆ Small size, light weight, easy to carry.
☆ Suitable for real-time on-site water quality testing of sea and fresh water.
Operation Method
Titration method
The total hardness of water refers to the total content of calcium/magnesium in water, and there is no unified expression method at home and abroad. This card is temporarily expressed in German hardness (DH), which means that 10 milligrams of calcium oxide per liter of water is 1 degree (1 ° DH), and drinking water should not exceed 25 degrees. In addition to the above methods of expression, there are also methods of expression such as calcium oxide (mg/L), calcium carbonate (mg/L), and millimoles (mmol/L). The following table lists other ways of converting DH, which is to multiply the DH number by the corresponding value in the table.
Expressing hardness, calcium oxide, calcium carbonate, millimoles
Method (DH) (mg/L) (mg/L) (mmol/L)
Corresponding value 1 10 17.86 0.178
Note: DH represents German hardness.
Test Method:
Rinse the colorimetric tube several times with a water sample, then take the water sample to the mark of the tube. Add 10 drops of hardness reagent (I) and shake well. Add a small amount of reagent (II) and shake well (at this time, the water sample appears red). Then add reagent (III) and shake while adding until the water color changes from red to blue. Record the number of drops of reagent (III).
Calculation method: Total hardness=F x number of drops of reagent (III). F: Conversion factor, see card.
Packing list: 1 bottle each of water hardness reagents (I) and (II), 2 bottles of (III), 1 test tube, 1 dropper, 1 test card, and 1 glass spoon.
Note:
Some indicators may have special operational requirements, please read the instructions on the back of the color chart carefully before use.
