4、 Appearance and Connection
4.1 Appearance and Dimensions (see Figure 1 and Table 2)

4.2 Schematic diagram and dimensions of the structure connected to the valve
The connection dimensions are shown in Figure 2 and Table 3
Table 3
5、 Structure
The ZB explosion-proof valve electric device series consists of an electric motor, reducer, torque controller, stroke controller, opening indicator, hand electric switching mechanism, handwheel, and electrical components. It adopts a circular stopper, O-ring seal, explosion-proof surface structure, explosion-proof junction box, and a dedicated valve motor with coal safety certificate. The transmission principle is shown in Figure 3.
5.1 Motor: Valve specific motor with coal safety certificate.
5.2 Reducer: Composed of a pair of spur gears and worm gear pairs. The power of the electric motor is transmitted to the output shaft through the reducer.
5.3 Torque controller:
As a universal component for the entire series, its structure is shown in Figure 4. When a certain torque is applied to the output shaft, the worm not only rotates but also generates axial displacement, driving the crank and causing the collision block to produce angular displacement, thereby triggering the micro switch. When the torque on the output shaft increases to the set torque, until the micro switch is activated, the motor power is cut off, causing the motor to stop running, thereby achieving control of the output torque of the electric actuator and protecting the electric valve.
5.4 Travel controller
Adopting the principle of decimal counter, the control accuracy is high. As a universal component for the entire series, its structure is shown in Figure 5. Its working principle is that a pair of large and small umbrella gears inside the gearbox drive the driving small gear (Z=8), which then drives the stroke controller to work. If the stroke controller has been adjusted according to the position of the valve opening and closing, when the controller rotates with the output shaft to the pre adjusted position (number of turns), the cam will rotate 90 °, forcing the micro switch to act, cutting off the power supply of the motor, and stopping the motor, thereby achieving control over the stroke (number of turns) of the electric actuator.
5.5 Opening indicator:
As a universal component for the entire series, its structure is shown in Figure 6. The input gear is driven by the counter gear, and after deceleration, the indicator disk rotates simultaneously with the opening and closing process of the valve to indicate the opening or closing of the valve. The shaft of the potentiometer and the indicator disk rotate synchronously for remote transmission indication, and adjusting the gear by moving the number of turns can change the number of turns. The opening indicator is equipped with a micro switch and a cam. When the electric actuator is running, the rotating cam periodically activates the micro switch, with a frequency of one or two actions per rotation of the output shaft, which can be used for flashing signals, etc.
5.6 Hand electric switching mechanism:
For semi-automatic switching, its structure is shown in Figure 7. It consists of a handle, cam, frame, upright rod, intermediate clutch, compression spring, etc. When operating with a handwheel, first push the switch handle in the manual direction. The cam rotates along with the handle shaft, lifting the frame supported on the cam surface. At the same time, the intermediate clutch supported on the frame that can move axially on the output shaft is also raised, and the compression spring is compressed. When the handle is pushed to a certain position, the intermediate clutch disengages from the worm gear and meshes with the handwheel, allowing the force on the handwheel to be transmitted to the output shaft through the intermediate clutch and enter manual mode. When the frame is raised to a certain height, the upright rod installed on the frame stands upright on the end face of the worm gear under the action of the torsion spring, supporting the frame to prevent the intermediate clutch from falling. When the handle is pushed to the manual position, it can be released and operated with a handwheel. When the motor drives the worm wheel to rotate, the upright rod will fall down, and under the action of the compression spring, the intermediate clutch will quickly move towards the worm wheel and mesh with it, while disengaging from the handwheel, becoming electric.
5.7 Wiring of ZB series explosion-proof valve electric device (see Figure 8)
Attention: Safety warning signs: "Do not open the cover with electricity" and "Do not collide with the explosion-proof surface"
The terminal wiring should be secure, and the wires should be clamped with elbows according to Figure 8. The electrical clearance between conductive parts with different potentials inside the junction box shall comply with the requirements of GB 3836.2-2000; The junction box has four entry devices, and the power cables used must have grounding wires and be connected to the grounding terminals on the junction panel. The diameter specifications of the introduced cable are shown in Figure 9 and Table 4. After connecting the wire, a tight sealing ring should be installed, and the Shore hardness of the sealing ring should be 45-55 degrees. Damaged or aged sealing rings should be replaced in a timely manner.
6、 Adjustment
After the explosion-proof valve electric device is assembled with the valve, the torque controller, stroke controller, and opening indicator must be adjusted separately before use; Before adjustment, it is necessary to check whether the potentiometer on the opening indicator has been disconnected (just loosen the set screw of the gear on the potentiometer shaft) to prevent damage; Check the rotation direction of the motor and whether the control circuit is correct to prevent the motor from losing control.
6.1 Adjustment of torque controller (see Figure 4)
The torque has been adjusted according to the user's requirements before leaving the factory, and generally does not need to be adjusted again. If you need to change the setting value, you can rotate the adjusting shaft of the cam to the corresponding scale, and adjust the closing direction first and then the opening direction base note.
6.2 Adjustment of stroke controller (see Figure 5)
6.2.1 Adjustment of the fully closed position
(a) Close the valve tightly manually;
(b) Use a screwdriver to press down on the top rod and turn it 90 degrees to secure it;
(c) Rotate the closing adjustment shaft according to the closing arrow until the closing cam moves;
(c) Rotate the top pole back to its original position.
6.2.2 Adjustment of fully open position
(a) Manually open the valve to the desired position;
(b) Press down the top rod and rotate it 90 degrees to get stuck;
(c) Rotate the opening adjustment shaft according to the opening arrow until the opening cam moves;
(d) Rotate the top pole back to its original position.
6.3 Adjustment of opening indicator (see Figure 6)
On the basis of adjusting the torque and stroke, adjust the on-site opening indicator and remote potentiometer as follows:
(a) Adjust the gear to the desired number of rotations by moving it to the desired position;
(b) Hang the potentiometer gear, tighten the potentiometer fixing nut, and ensure that the set screw of the potentiometer gear is loose;
(c) Manually or electrically close the valve and observe the rotation direction of the potentiometer gear facing the indicator panel;
(d) Rotate the close indicator dial to align the close direction mark with the pointer;
(e) Rotate the potentiometer shaft towards the terminal position according to the rotation direction of the observed potentiometer gear, and tighten the set screw;
(f) Operate the valve electrically or manually to the fully open position, keep the closed direction dial still, and rotate the open indicator dial to align the open direction mark with the pointer
