The PCY14-1B constant pressure variable pump outputs pressure oil to both the lower chamber of the variable piston and the control oil inlet of the constant pressure valve. When the output pressure is less than the set pressure, the hydraulic thrust acting on the constant pressure valve core is less than the set spring force, and the constant pressure valve is in the open state. The pressure oil enters the upper chamber of the variable piston, and the variable piston pressure is at the lowest position. The pump outputs pressure oil at full displacement. When the pump operates under a constant pressure setting, the hydraulic thrust acting on the constant pressure valve core is equal to the spring force. The inlet and outlet ports of the constant pressure valve are simultaneously open, resulting in equal hydraulic thrust in the upper and lower chambers of the variable piston. The variable piston is balanced and operates at a certain position. If the oil pressure increases instantaneously, the inlet of the constant pressure valve closes, the outlet opens up, and the pressure in the upper chamber of the variable piston is lower than that in the lower chamber. The variable piston moves upward, and the pump flow decreases until the pressure drops to the set constant pressure. At this point, the variable piston operates at a new equilibrium position. On the contrary, when the oil pressure drops instantly, the constant pressure oil inlet opens wider, the oil outlet closes smaller, the pressure in the upper chamber of the variable piston is higher than that in the lower chamber, the variable piston moves downward, and the flow rate of the pump increases until the pressure rises to the set constant pressure.
