The BP8Y series frequency sensitive variable resistor is suitable for the starting and reverse connection equipment of the new energy-saving motor with a capacity of 1.5 kW to 200 kW, 50Hz, YZR series three-phase asynchronous motors for lifting and metallurgy under frequent operation. The rotor circuit of this asynchronous motor is equipped with a frequency sensitive variable resistor, which is generally connected normally without the need for additional contactor short-circuit devices. Therefore, its characteristic is that it can achieve mechanical characteristics close to constant torque with a refined system, making it an ideal starting component.

Varistors can reliably operate under the following conditions:
1. Altitude not exceeding 2000 meters; 2. The temperature of the surrounding medium is not higher than+40 degrees and not lower than -30 degrees;
3. The relative temperature of the air shall not exceed 85%; 4. Places with rain and snow protection and places without steam;
5. In a medium without explosive hazards, and without gases or conductive dust that can corrode metals and damage insulation;
6. Places that allow for general vibrations and impacts; 7. At any angle from the vertical plane.
Varistors can be divided into three categories based on the frequency of operation:
