1、 Overview:

Grounding faults in DC systems can pose significant safety hazards. If a single point DC grounding fault occurs, it must be resolved within the specified time frame. If it cannot be quickly resolved, the system will have multiple grounding points, and the consequences will be unimaginable. The traditional solution is to disconnect the DC system one by one (with a disconnection time of no more than 3 seconds), check if the DC system voltage returns to normal, determine a certain circuit, and then continue to search for the next step. This method is time-consuming, labor-intensive, and potentially harmful. Some equipment does not allow disconnection of the DC system, so the traditional DC grounding search method is not ideal. The use of a "DC grounding online tester" avoids the shortcomings of traditional search methods and enables fast, safe, and effective search without affecting the operation of the DC system.

4、 Search method:
1. Plug in the power and turn on the 220V AC power switch
2. The red clip is connected to the positive busbar, the black clip is connected to the negative busbar, and the grounding terminal should be well grounded, that is, the iron shell of the DC screen.
After the data processing is completed, press the selection button to display the test items. The cursor should be moved to automatic detection, and press the "confirm" button to automatically detect the grounding voltage value, grounding current value, and grounding resistance value. When there is no grounding, the grounding voltage is+110V, -110V, and the grounding current value is 0A. The grounding resistance value is 0 ohms.
When searching for grounding, move the cursor to continuous detection, press the confirm button, and use a clamp ammeter to detect the current on each branch of the DC bus. The value that is close to the current of the tester is also the value that the grounding branch detects downwards along this line until the grounding point is found. After the detection is complete, press the cancel button to gradually return.
If positive grounding is detected during manual testing, negative grounding should not be manually tested again.
If negative grounding is detected, manual positive grounding should not be detected. Otherwise, it will cause damage to the built-in fuse, rendering the instrument unusable. The fuse must be replaced before use.
