Y-shaped expansion filter is a combination of Y-shaped filter and expansion joint, mainly used for water supply and drainage piping in high-rise buildings, multi story buildings or factories. It is usually installed at the inlet end of pressure reducing valves, relief valves, constant water level valves or other major equipment to facilitate the removal of debris and ensure the normal use of valves or equipment.
The Y-shaped telescopic filter is installed at the front end of each supporting valve in the inlet pipeline. When the medium in the pipeline first enters the filter, the medium enters the connected valve through the filter screen, while impurities remain in the filter barrel, so that various valves will not malfunction due to mechanical debris getting stuck in the sealing ring. In addition, stainless steel telescopic rods are added to compensate for pipeline size and ensure flexible installation. Generally, water filters use 10-30 mesh/cm2, air filters use 40-100 mesh/cm2, and oil filters use 60-200 mesh/cm2.
