1、 Overview:
The FC-IIA dust sampler (hereinafter referred to as the instrument) is a new generation product that has made significant improvements on the basis of the old instrument. Its improvement aspects mainly include the following:
The rotary vane pump has better performance, and the rotary vane has been improved to graphite flakes, which can provide lubrication and reduce noise;
The motor increases its power while maintaining the same volume, thereby improving the stability of flow and the ability to overcome resistance;  

Timing selection: Sampling time digital display for direct reading, convenient and intuitive timing setting. If the sampling time is the same, once the timing button is set, there is no need to reset it every time it is turned on. The minimum unit for setting the timing time can be seconds (S);  
Voltage display: It has the function of displaying voltage;  
Alarm function: In order to extend the battery life, this instrument has added low voltage alarm and disable functions;  
Reminder function: This instrument will emit a beep sound 30 seconds before the scheduled sampling ends.

This product is an essential instrument for monitoring dust concentration and pollution status in the atmospheric environment by departments such as labor hygiene, industrial and mining enterprises, scientific research institutions, and environmental monitoring.

3、 Usage:
Please follow the operating instructions below and combine them with Figure 1 and Figure 2 to use the instrument.
1. Functions of each function key:
Pressing or popping up the button switch is represented by a graphic on the panel, and its function is indicated on the left side of the graphic.
AC/DC switch Power switch, also serving as an AC/DC conversion switch. When using the internal battery, it needs to be pressed, and it pops up when shutting down. If there is external communication, the opposite is true. (For communication only, the battery should be removed or the power plug should be unplugged after shutting down)
Sampling charging switch Control sampling or charging.
Manual automatic switch Timed sampling is automatic, otherwise it is manual.
Set/Confirm button Press this button repeatedly, and a flashing single clock number will appear on the display screen one by one. When setting any position of the clock, move to that position and then press the 'Add' button. After making the changes, press this button until the complete four digit clock number appears on the display screen.
Add button When in the clock setting state, press this button and the flashing numbers will gradually increase. Press this button to monitor the battery voltage while the display screen is in normal display mode.
Reset button Press this button, the clock will display the set timer time, and the pump will stop working at the same time.
Start button Press this button to start sampling. There will be a beep reminder 30 seconds before the scheduled time ends. When the clock counts down to "0000", sampling will stop.

1) Preparation before sampling:
Press the function keys to start the instrument. If both sides of the flow are sampled simultaneously, adjust the two flow meters to near the required sampling flow rate, set the sampling time, and then turn off the instrument; If single-sided flow sampling is required and the sampling flow rate is less than 20L/min, the valve of the other side flow meter should be appropriately opened at around 10L/min. (Prevent pump motor system from overheating)
Put the dried and weighed filter membrane into the filter membrane clamp and place it in the filter membrane box for later use. Install the instrument on the tripod (if necessary) and adjust it to the desired height and angle. Insert the conical sampling head with the filter membrane into the bracket at the top of the instrument, select the desired angle and direction, lock the tripod fixing nut, and connect the conical sampling head to the sampling head inlet with two rubber tubes.
2) Sampling:
After completing the above steps, press the start button to quickly adjust the flow meter valve to the sampling flow rate. Once the sampling time is up, it will automatically shut down; Record the sampling time and sampling flow rate; Carefully remove the filter membrane clamp and place it in the filter membrane box. Bring it back to the laboratory and perform drying, weighing, and other related experimental work according to relevant technical specifications.
3) Battery connection: When an external 12V battery is connected, use a battery cable to connect the red end of the battery to the red terminal on the back of the instrument; Connect the black end of the battery to the black terminal, do not connect it in reverse!!!.
4) Battery charging: Connect the battery correctly (as in step 3 above), then connect the instrument to a 220V power supply and press the charging switch to charge the battery. During the sampling process, when the display voltage button is pressed and the voltage is close to (about 10.6V), it should be charged in advance. For a 12V/7AH battery, the charging time is 10-14 hours. If the battery is not used for a long time and you want to charge it in advance, you should reduce the charging time appropriately
When sampling (or charging) with a battery and removing the battery cable, it is necessary to pay attention to: first unplug the small plugs on both ends of the battery (red and black), and then remove the battery cable on the back of the instrument!!! And 220V power plug;
