Structure and principle:
The rated working voltage of high-voltage capacitors is 2100V/AC~2500V/AC, with a capacitance of 0.5UF~1.23UF, and a 10M Ω high-voltage discharge resistor is connected inside the capacitor. Its function is to automatically discharge the charge on the capacitor after the microwave equipment is turned off.
The main function of high-voltage capacitors is to form a half wave voltage doubling rectification circuit with high-voltage diodes, providing DC anode high voltage for magnetrons. The secondary high voltage winding of the high voltage transformer outputs an AC voltage of around 2100V, which is rectified by a high voltage capacitor and a high voltage diode to obtain a DC high voltage of around 4500V for use in the anode (cathode) of the magnetron. High voltage capacitors also have the function of improving the efficiency of microwave equipment circuits. Due to the presence of lagging leakage inductance current in the operation of leakage magnetic transformers, the efficiency is relatively low.
