The HEP series electric air valve positioner is a high-performance product developed by introducing advanced foreign technology and achieving high precision, stability, and reliability. Its technical performance has reached the level of similar foreign products. It is the main accessory of the regulating valve, which can convert the current signal output by the regulator into the gas source signal that drives the pneumatic regulating valve. It is used in conjunction with the regulating valve to overcome the friction force of the valve stem and the unbalanced force of the valve core, improve the response speed of the regulating valve, and ensure that the regulating valve is correctly positioned according to the output signal of the regulator. The locator can also be installed on RC actuators with a 0~90 ° angle to control the action of rotary control valves.
There are six models of HEP locators, with two structural types. The model number followed by RC indicates an angular travel locator, and no RC indicates a linear travel locator.

structural composition
The HEP electrical valve positioner consists of the following components:; Electromagnetic components that convert electrical signals into mechanical displacement, nozzle baffle mechanisms that convert displacement into nozzle back pressure, relays that amplify nozzle back pressure, feedback lever mechanisms that provide feedback on output pressure, and stroke adjustment components.

Working Principle
The operation of the HEP locator is based on the principle of force balance. When the locator is in a stable state, its feedback loop and force balance system are in a balanced state. When the input signal, valve stem friction force, or fluid force changes, the force of the magneto electric component and the force generated by the feedback loop due to the change in valve stem position are in an unbalanced state. The locator adjusts the pressure in the actuator chamber, resulting in the feedback loop being in a balanced state. The valve stem stays in a new position and corresponds to the input signal of the locator.
