Introduction
The MicroTREK guided wave radar level gauge (within 24 meters) is based on the principle of Time Domain Reflectance (TDR). The microwave pulse signal propagates along the waveguide at the speed of light, and once it reaches the surface of the measured medium, it immediately reflects back to the electron receiver. The propagation speed of light in air or other gas media is a constant, so the Micro TREK waveguide radar level gauge does not require any calibration, start-up, or maintenance. TDF technology is not affected by the characteristics of the measured medium and its upper space.
