Overview
UHS-LP ultrasonic level transmitter is widely used for measuring the liquid level and volume of tanks, water tanks, reservoirs, and can also be used for flow measurement in open channels.
In practical use, many interfaces cannot be touched, such as corrosion (acid, alkali) of measuring equipment products, contamination of measuring equipment (sewer), or substances that produce adhesion on measuring devices (adhesives).
Due to its non-contact ultrasonic principle, ultrasonic liquid level measurement technology is suitable for liquids and liquid level positions that cannot be physically contacted.
working principle
The UHS-LP ultrasonic liquid level transmitter is composed of an integrated ultrasonic probe and electronic unit. The level gauge is installed on the upper part of the measured container. Under the control of the electronic unit, the probe emits a beam of ultrasonic pulses towards the surface of the measured object. The sound waves are reflected by the surface of the object, and some of the echoes are received by the probe and converted into electrical signals. The time from the emission of ultrasound to its re reception is proportional to the distance from the probe to the object being measured. The electronic unit detects the time and calculates the measured distance based on the known propagation speed of ultrasonic waves. By conversion, the level value can be obtained.
The propagation speed of ultrasound in gas is affected by the gas temperature, so the level gauge needs to detect the gas temperature during operation and compensate for the sound velocity to ensure measurement accuracy.
The level gauge cannot simultaneously detect echoes when emitting ultrasonic pulses. Therefore, a small distance starting from the surface of the probe downwards is the blind spot. If the highest level being measured enters the blind zone, the instrument will not be able to detect it correctly, resulting in errors. If necessary, the level gauge can be installed higher.
